1. try to focus on the smoke (i know thaa=t's a bitch since it keeps moving but try to prefocus then shoot when it comes into focus by itself) since it's a bit soft
2. you could try a colour invert to get a nice wahite background like in my smoke shot

anyways, this one i like , keep up experimenting

Beautiful, one would almost think that smoking is something good. But the purple, as a funeral color next to black, it reminds us of what it eventually will lead to :-). Apart from this health pre-occupation, an advanced-learner shot because of its lighting problems. Wonderful.

At first glance, it took my breath away! You really captured the substance of the smoke. I've been wanting to do something similar, but I don't smoke and it's hard get someone else to smoke on demand. Nice job!

Actually, I don't smoke either. I burned some incense and shot the smoke as it curled into the air. I'll keep experimenting with the focus too. The original was actually sharper, I just blurred it in processing because I liked that effect.
