The Crossmen: Pre-Show Warm-Up #1

Posted by Evie (Fairfax, United States) on 3 July 2007 in Sport & Recreation and Portfolio.

This is a shot of the contra bass section warming up before the show. The contras play the lowest, bass part. Marching bands often use sousaphones, which wrap around the player's body to play the bass part. Concert and brass bands often use upright tubas. Drum corps use contra basses that sit upon the shoulder. Imagine carrying one of those around a football for an eleven-minute show!
