This is a stone (presumably granite) statue of FDR that stands outside of his Presidential Library. He was the first US president to establish a library dedicated to preserving documents relevant to his presidency.

I always have found Mr. Roosevelt my favorite president of the USA and this picture tells exactly why! Very skilfull handling of shadows and highlights, one notices dedication and attention which are always needed to produce a good photograph, I often forget in favor of my bin files :-)
